Southern Program Alliance

Johnston PM&C was contracted for the delivery phase of the Southern Program Alliance to provide specialist project Support services in the delivery phase of a critical package of works. We provided Project Management and Project Engineering in the field resources to manage a variety of disciplines including bridges, civil roadworks, pavements, retaining walls and drainage.
Our experience on the SPA Project demonstrates our invaluable experience to support clients on Government Projects deliver high risk, complex infrastructure in a high-pressure environment. Our multidisciplinary construction expertise and knowledge was used to inform the Alliance and provide solutions to risk prior to commencing the major occupation scope. The five project management professionals we provided to the project had a range of between 5 and 33 years of experience in major infrastructure projects, providing the Alliance support at every level from Site Engineer to Project Manager. The personnel we deployed were able to help the government to realise and deliver benefits such as:
- Delivering safer separation of trains from road traffic with level crossings removed in Carrum, Seaford, Cheltenham, Mentone, Edithvale, Chelsea and Bonbeach
- Reduced congestion
- New Carrum Station which will revitalise Carrum village and a new promenade with access to the beach Seaford will benefit from improvements for walking and cycling and a new playground
- Improved access to houses, shops and foreshore for beachside suburbs
- New stations at Carrum Cheltenham, Mentone, Edithvale, Chelsea and Bonbeach
